It’s the most wonderful time of the year. The “best of” time. I wont sing your ears off on how there’s way too much TV because we all know that. Adulting doesn’t allow time to watch it all but I will go ahead and share which ones I enjoyed of the few I got to watch. As always, my list is made of shows that sparked joy and if your faves aren’t on here then I probably didn’t get to it. That being said, please don’t shame me, I didn’t watch Shogun.
- Jerrod Carmichael Reality Show – Divisive but I am on the side of those who loved this show. I still don’t know what’s real or not and I don’t care. I thought it was brilliant (Max)
- Supacell – There were holes in this but nothing in life is perfect and I enjoyed it overall (Netflix)
- Presumed Innocent – Wasn’t going to let one of my favorite actor’s appearance on TV go unwatched (Apple+ TV)
- Nobody Wants This – Even I, the pessimist couldn’t resist this heart warming (albeit pointless plot theme) rom-com (Netflix)
- Shrinking – The second season was so great. When you can balance heavy topics and still make it light and funny, that’s greatness (Apple+ TV)
- Baby Reindeer – As annoyed as I was, I’d be remiss not to say that this wasn’t very well done especially as it was trauma being worked out through this (Netflix)
- The Penguin – Holy Moly, if we had no idea noone would EVER guess that that was Colin Farell. Cristin Miliotti is also pretty great (Max)
- Curb Your Enthusiasm – Larry David is a hilarious nutcase. This final season was no exception (Max)
- Girls5Eva – I didn’t watch it when it was on Peacock so I binged it to watch the new third season on Netflix and it was so stupid that it was hilarious (Netflix)
- Hacks – really enjoyed this season with a finale where the student becomes the teacher (Max)
- The Vince Staples Show – This is actually my husband’s favorite show this year so I am throwing this in in his honor. I didn’t watch in its entirety but the episodes I caught were hilarious (Netflix)
- The Bear – I don’t know, I still enjoyed this season (FX/Hulu)
I’d love to hear what your faves are!
