The 2015/2016 TV season is over and with that comes the annual tally of the top shows on network TV without the competition that comes with shows on basic and premium cable. No surprise that Sunday Night Football topped the list but show wise, Empire retained its crown from last year, while Big Bang Theory remains the top sitcom on TV.
The breakdown by network was: CBS – 14 shows —- ABC – 13 shows—NBC – 13 shows—FOX – 9 shows
